In this artwork, I explore the space between realism and abstraction, using line, color, and movement to shape identity rather than define it. The portrait is constructed through a linear composition that remains calm and controlled, standing in contrast to the vibrant, multicolored background that surrounds it.
The background is built from swirling layers of pinks, blues, and oranges, intentionally blurred to suggest motion and emotional energy. These colors are not just decorative, they function as atmosphere, creating tension and depth while allowing the figure to remain serene and grounded. Negative space and sharp contrast are used to guide the eye and give the portrait clarity within the chaos.
This piece invites the viewer to question perception: what is fixed, and what is in motion? By merging precise line work with expressive abstraction, I aim to create an image that feels both intimate and unstable, familiar yet open to interpretation. The result is a portrait that exists as much in emotion as it does in form.
