In this artwork, I merge pop art influences with street culture, using a monochrome skull as the central anchor of the composition. By placing it against a vivid blue background, I create immediate contrast, allowing the skull’s grayscale tones to feel sharp, powerful, and unavoidable.
The surrounding layers of graffiti-style text are intentionally dense and interwoven. They introduce rhythm, movement, and raw energy elements that collide with the controlled realism of the skull. High-contrast shading gives the form depth and weight, while the spray-painted typography adds spontaneity and imperfection. This tension between precision and chaos is essential to the work.
The skull represents permanence and mortality, while the vibrant graffiti speaks to life, presence, and the urge to be seen.
