In this artwork, I merge portraiture with graffiti to explore the tension between anonymity and identity in the urban environment. The face is rendered in monochrome and constructed through vertical black lines, allowing movement and fragmentation to shape the image rather than traditional detail. The portrait doesn’t dominate the space.. it emerges from it.
Behind and around the portrait, vibrant layers of graffiti in pink, orange, and yellow introduce chaos, energy, and raw expression. These spray-painted elements are deliberately uncontrolled, creating texture and depth that contrast with the precision of the portrait. The dialogue between the structured face and the expressive background reflects the balance between order and disruption.
This piece is about presence within noise. The human figure feels both visible and concealed, calm yet surrounded by intensity. By blending street art language with a haunting, restrained portrait, I aim to create an image that feels emotionally charged and unmistakably urban. Inviting the viewer to question how identity survives, adapts, or dissolves within the city.
