In this artwork, I use vertical black stripes to interrupt and reveal the portrait at the same time. The face emerges through rhythm and repetition, creating depth and movement while maintaining a strong, focused presence. The gaze is intentional, it anchors the composition and pulls the viewer into the image.
Behind the figure, bursts of pink, yellow, blue, and orange collide in expressive brushstrokes and dynamic forms. These colors bring energy and spontaneity, contrasting sharply with the controlled monochrome structure of the portrait. This balance between precision and expression is central to the work.
By merging street art elements with fine portraiture, I explore the tension between realism and abstraction. The contrast between black and white and vivid color allows the piece to feel both contemporary and timeless. Rather than following traditional portrait conventions, this work emphasizes emotion, creativity, and the freedom of expression.
