In this artwork, I explore perception through rhythm, color, and fragmentation. The monochrome portrait is constructed from vertical black stripes, allowing the face to appear and dissolve at the same time. This linear structure introduces movement and instability, challenging the viewer to actively engage with the image rather than consume it instantly.
The vivid pink background is intentionally confrontational. It carries urgency, rebellion, and emotional charge, reinforced by layered graffiti elements that reference urban culture and visual noise. These marks add depth and narrative, pushing the portrait forward while also partially obscuring it.
This controlled chaos where structure meets spontaneity is central to the work. The contrast between restraint and expression reflects themes of anonymity and visibility within the city. By merging street art language with a refined, deliberate composition, I aim to create an image that feels provocative yet balanced, enigmatic yet grounded in contemporary urban reality.
